THE PLACE: Located outside the side door of Baptist Hospital, Sunshine Garden Café it is a shady little café with inside as well as outside seating.
It is best to get there early as lunch can be quite crowded. On the day we stopped by we called in a to go order. It was a large order for the whole office and the Sunshine Garden staff had everything labeled and ready to go when I arrived. They have done this before.
THE TASTE: There are so many items to choose from. They have everything from an egg salad sandwich to an Italian Meatball Spaghetti. The soups vary from day to day and are a great accompaniment to any sandwich or salad. Be sure to check the Soups and Desserts of the day page.
I had the Turkey Broccofeller a Sunshine Café original. It consists of turkey with chopped broccoli and three types of cheese skillfully blended with a hint of fresh garlic and herbs stuffed in a hoagie roll and baked to perfection.
The taste of garlic is amazing in this warm cheesy sandwich loaded with turkey and broccoli. A must have.
