Like to be involved in the community, run or play sports then Pensacola Sports Association is for you. The main goal of the organization is to encourage amateur and professional sports as well as promote personal physical fitness in the Northwest Florida region.
The Pensacola Sports Association sponsors and promotes the following events: Pensacola Double Bridge Run, high school all-star football, volleyball, soccer, softball and baseball games, senior scholar-athlete awards, racquet roundup tennis clinics, Bud Light Charity Challenge Tennis Tournament and the Pensacola Marathon.
Originally incorporated in 1955, the Pensacola Sports Association (PSA) is a private not-for-profit agency and one of the oldest sports commissions in the country. Their Foundation has provided over $390,000 in grants to over 40 area programs and organizations over the last 15 years.
Their latest press release is covering the Pensacola Marathon. They are pleased to announce it will now offer a relay category for this year’s Pensacola Marathon, set for Sunday, November 10, 2013. Comprised of four teammates, each person will run a leg of the race. The Pensacola Marathon is also a Boston Qualifier.
