Pensacola running and marathons

Pensacola has been known as a drinking town with a running problem — and it is getting worse.

It is getting worse, in a good way. Take one look at the race calendar on Pensacola Runners Association’s website  and you realize there is a race/run/training almost everyday of the week. The races vary from light to heavy. There are all levels of runners in these clubs and you can review them to pick out the one that is just right for you.

Owners, Paul and Cherie Epstein took their passion for endurance sport and opened Running Wild in 2000. Professionally fitting running shoes started in Gulf Breeze and moved through Downtown Pensacola while evolving into a complete training, injury prevention and fitness resource.

By 2008, Running Wild moved to East Pensacola Heights and expanded to become the fitness hub for the Gulf Coast. They host  daily runs, clinics, special events and serve as the packet pickup location for local races.
